The bolívar fuerte is the new currency of Venezuela since January 1, 2008. The name "bolívar fuerte" is only used temporarily to distinguish it from the older currency that was being used along with the bolívar fuerte (VEB). The new name is literally translated as "strong bolívar",
The Hungarian forint is divided into100 fillér, although fillér coins have not been in circulation since 1999. In 2004 Hungary joined the European Union. The forint is slated to disappear circa 2012-2014, however this will depend on the economic situation closer to the time.
